For sensory and physically impaired persons, the use of the video bell is limited to almost impossible. This results in potential fields in the assembly, form and operability for people who might find the handling most difficult.
Based on the collected findings from the market and action analysis, a video bell for better communication between deaf and hearing people will be the focus of develoment.

Concept
This variant is particularly characterized by the diagonally mirrored rounded corners. The slight offset of the camera module brings it into focus .

In this concept, the focus is on the lighting, which is projected through the surface in the lower area. A large screen surface should also be part of the concept.

In this variant, the basic shape is calmer and consists of a rectangular cuboid. The display stands out slightly from the base and is framed by the speakers.

Prototyping
Initial Model
The acrylic glass pane was cut out with the laser cutter and engraved. Then treated with a frost varnish to reduce the transparency. The rest of the model was created with the 3D printer.
Final model
A simple 3D print was made as the final model. The translucent disc was made of acrylic to show the materiality in more detail.

Interface communication
The bell is equipped with a spacious display, facilitating effective visual communication. This display is encircled by indirect lighting, thoughtfully designed to offer optimal visibility even in adverse weather or low-light conditions.
Ease of use
The button is set off from the flat surface by a raised frame. Haptic as well as visual ring feedback.
Installation
The bell can be divided into two main components: the mounting shell and the actual bell unit with display. Thanks to a special mechanism, it is easy to separate the mounting shell from the bell unit, which provides additional protection against theft. The mounting on the wall is secure and stable using four screws, which ensures a reliable installation.
Accessibility and moisture protection.
A large opening in the mounting tray supports easy installation of the cables. Small spacers to the wall ensure good ventilation of the rear side.
Communication
The bell is fitted with a complete ring of loudspeakers encircling its housing. Delicate grooves, strategically perforated in specific sections, facilitate the transmission of sound to the user.
